Spotlight on: Supply Chain Innovation & Technology Award

2023 SPONSORS

Challenging circumstances over the past few years have sparked innovative ideas and developments in technology that aim to safeguard the supply chain.

Australia’s economy depends on a functioning supply chain, and the Supply Chain Innovation & Technology Award is dedicated to the companies and teams who set out to improve and secure it.

In 2022 the Australian business Ofload received the award for its digital, cloud-based road freight platform.

The centralised platform was designed to support the resilience of transport companies while reducing carbon emissions.

It manages shipments via the matching of freight requirements to suitable transport companies, eliminating unnecessary waste and emissions by ensuring trucks travel full. It also aims to decrease congestion on roads and at ports.

A spokesperson for MIRRAT, the category sponsor this year, told DCN the terminal was proud to support the Supply Chain Innovation & Technology Award.

“Innovation drives progress and technology fuels efficiency together they make the foundations of a resilient and thriving supply chain,” they said.
